With increasing budget cuts in the public sector, there is not enough money or social workers to facilitate care to those who most need it in Birmingham.

SWEET fills this gap. Working with universities and the local authority, they take final year students and provide them with a placement that takes them beyond the classroom. Bridging the gap between learning and real-life cases with those who are in vital need of support.

We were brought onboard to improve their website and provide marketing support. Telling their story through compelling video and photography was an essential part of their content marketing strategy.

I would just like to say thank you so much for setting up and developing our website. We all truly enjoyed our time spent with you and your colleagues. Filming at times was a bit scary but a good laugh also.

web design.

After completing our persona workshop with the directors of SWEET, it was clear that the website needed to cater to four different stakeholder groups. All of which had different pain points that needed to be addressed. We produced a visually engaging responsive design that easily allowed stakeholders to navigate to content tailored to them. We then used peer video to communicate key messages and present solutions to challenges we knew each stakeholder had.

Results.

The SWEET project has always provided excellent placements for students to gain front-line social work experience, who in turn provide vital services to Birmingham’s local community. They now have a platform which tells their story sharing the message of the great work they are doing in the city.

Video has proved to be a valuable engagement and marketing tool for SWEET. Since the redesign, website traffic has increased and the website video content was consumed over 600 times in the first four weeks of its launch.
