When the Benevolent Society of Blues (BSB), a charity dedicated to supporting individuals from Christ’s Hospital School, realised the need for a digital transformation, they turned to Creative Tweed. Their primary goal? To migrate from an outdated, paper-based application system to a dynamic, secure online platform accessible globally.

BSB was encumbered by a cumbersome, predominantly paper-based system for processing financial support applications from current and former pupils. This method not only demanded extensive manual administration but also struggled with document retention and processing accuracy.

Creative Tweed have provided the BSB with a website that is easy to use and allows our board to manage donations and applications with ease…Bravo!

Mobile first approach

Mobile UX and UI were at the heart of the design process

Creative Tweed rose to the challenge, initiating a complete website rebuild with a mobile-first approach for optimal responsiveness on all devices. The crux of our innovation was designing and coding Laravel online application forms. These forms weren’t just about digitisation; they provided a secure, user-friendly portal for sensitive document uploads.

But we didn’t stop there. We introduced a bespoke application management dashboard, equipped with a secure messaging system, enabling site admins to interact seamlessly with applicants. Integrating these new application alerts with MS Teams streamlined communication, making the process efficient and globally accessible.

The transformation was monumental. BSB’s shift from offline to an online secure application system revolutionised their operation. Trustees could now review and take action on applications from anywhere in the world, a leap in efficiency and global accessibility. This digital migration not only enhanced operational efficiency but also fortified data security, adhering to GDPR regulations.
